About Nano LaserPeel
The Nano LaserPeel uses light energy with the Sciton platform to remove a very thin layer of skin. This removes some of the damaged skin that can contribute to tired, dull looking skin. This process also activates messenger cells, which stimulate the skin’s natural healing process and results in fresh cells and resurfacing of the treated area. Treatment can be custom tailored to specific skin conditions and desired result.
Commonly Treated Areas
The face and neck are the most commonly treated areas, but the chest and backs of hands can also be treated.
What to Expect During the Procedure
Skin is cleansed and eyes are protected with safety shields. A handpiece is used above the skin to move a laser beam around the treatment area. There is little to no discomfort, because the laser beam does not penetrate very deeply into the skin.
Post-Treatment Expectations
Skin will have a ‘frosty’ appearance immediately after treatment due to the dehydration of the skin. This skin then peels away after a few days following treatment. Patients may experience redness, a burning sensation similar to a sunburn and swelling post treatment. Results can be seen once the skin heals in about 2-3 days.
