Halo Laser Treatment
About Halo
Halo laser treatment combines non-ablative and ablative modalities to both help stimulate new collagen and help with more superficial skin restoration. Through triggering the skin’s natural healing response, Halo can soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth skin texture, even out skin tone and diminish the appearance of pores. With Halo, a more youthful glow to skin is restored.
Targets:
- Wrinkles
- Discoloration
- Sun damage
- Visible signs of aging
- Uneven skin tone
- Enlarged pores
- Poor texture
What to expect during and after treatment
Topical numbing is used for comfort. The treatment area is addressed in sections by rolling the Halo hand piece in a crisscross pattern over the skin. Most patients experience very little discomfort. During and immediately after treatment patients may notice a burning feeling that is soothed with recommended topical products.
After Halo most people experience 3-5 days of redness similar to a sunburn. Make-up can be worn after the first 24 hours. You may also notice swelling and light to darker brown coffee ground crusts that slough off. Skin may begin to peel after the first 24 hours.
Heavy exercise and heat should be avoided the first 24 hours, otherwise, normal activities can be resumed. Skin protection instructions will be reviewed with you and sun avoidance will be important during the first month after treatment.
potential treatment results
The number of treatments recommended depends on the desired outcome. It’s possible to have 1 or 2 deep treatments or several less aggressive treatments to reach the same goal.
Results can be seen within the first 1-2 weeks once the skin begins to heal. Most people see optimum results after about 3-4 weeks. Results can last for several years, as long as you continue to protect and take care of your skin and depending on your individual aging factors.
